I had only 2 classes today (3 units): 9:15-10:45 and 1:00-1:45.
We went over to Maccabi after my first class, and both of us got our annual flu shots. If you haven't gotten yours yet, it's time, and you should!
We ate lunch again at Greg and watched today's 3:00 ice-dance show. It was the one based on "Hair" that we had seen before, but it was fun to watch it again.
After that, we came home and talked to David's sister in Ohio. Finally, we took a drive around the short loop beginning at about sunset and returning home around 6:30.
Hi, I found your blog through a different blog. I see you're an online teacher through Berlitz. Can you give me information about them? I'm interested in teaching online lessons. Can you tell me about their scheduling, pay, and how their program works?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Y
First, you receive intensive training from Berlitz for about 7 full days. You are NOT paid for this. Then you give them your availability. They require a certain minimum amount, and it MUST include Friday mornings. The pay is not high but not too low, either. You are paid only for lessons you teach. Your scheduled lessons will ALWAYS be changing, so your actual teaching schedule will vary considerably, and it will NEVER get even CLOSE to the hours that you are available. Your schedule can change without warning right up until the day before. So the scheduling is not very convenient, but the work is generally quite interesting. For more information, you could contact Avriel Schwarz at avriel.schwartz@berlitz.co.il
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I checked them out and as of 10/21 it appears as though they are in need of only part-timers with a maximum of 18 hours/week. How close do you think I'd come to that? Once again, thank you.

I think I rarely work more than 18 hours a week, even though I'm available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
