I slept well during the first part of the night, but after waking up very early, I couldn't get into a comfortable position and go back to sleep. I still didn't get up very early, but I also didn't really get enough sleep.
I walked to the weekly English speakers' meeting at WIZO and really enjoyed it today. Sharona and Isobel led us in a sing-along of popular songs using videos from YouTube that included the lyrics.
The weather was very nice today. It was warm but mostly cloudy, so I was very comfortable walking in a t-shirt, short pants, and flip-flops. I took 3 pictures on my way back from WIZO, one of which is today's pic of the day, some flowers in the planters by the WIZO entrance:
I had a salad and weenies wrapped in tortillas for lunch today.
In the afternoon and evening, I just relaxed, watching sitcoms and playing games. I also did a little grocery shopping.
I walked a total of 3.4 kilometers today.

Monday, 27 February 2017
I slept a little unevenly last night. I think it was at least partly due to sinus congestion.
I walked down after breakfast to get my weekly blood tests (checking the thinning of the blood). I normally do them on Sundays, but I had forgotten to get a new order from my doctor since the original order had expired. I realized it only yesterday morning, so I wrote to him and he sent the order in yesterday afternoon.
After the blood test, I walked down to the beach and hung out there for a while, enjoying the warm sunshine. Today's pic of the day is the view I had from one of the places I sat for a while by the sea:
Then I walked home a somewhat meandering way, roughly following Argaman but diverging left and right at multiple points.
For some reason, I felt quite tired today (maybe it had to do with the poor sleep). At any rate, I stayed home and relaxed the rest of the day. Other than scanning one more play for our group, I just played games, watched sitcoms, and even dozed a bit.
I walked a total of 6.9 kilometers today.

Sunday, 26 February 2017
I slept well last night and got up quite refreshed this morning.
After breakfast, I headed out walking across town. I stopped at Maccabi downtown just to pee and drink some water (they have free cold water there), and then I continued on to the industrial area to check out the store there where I had gotten cheap pull-ups. I had found them not to be as good as the Depends I can get at SuperPharm, but I wanted to see if the store also carried the Depends at a lower price. They did not.
Next, I stopped by the Zebra pet store in the same general area to inquire about mice. They had none, so I walked back to the pet store downtown (Dogidag), where I was able to get a small hopper.
Then I walked down over to the bank to pee and get more (free) water and from there down to SuperPharm on HaTmarim to get the Depends.
I walked home via Roded and Barne'a streets, after making another pit stop at Maccabi along the way. I also rested several times.
I took quite a few pictures of beautiful flowers during my walk, and I posted most of them publicly on Facebook.
I arrived home a little after noon, and immediately fed Goldfinger his mouse and then put a potato in to bake. Pascal was relaxing up next to Goldfinger terrarium, and he was quite fascinated by the whole thing. I took today's pic of the day a little later, with Pascal still keeping a watchful eye on Goldfinger:
In addition to the potato, I also had a nice salad and 2 vegetarian shnitzels for lunch.
In the afternoon, I scanned another full-length play from Bassia's book, took another short walk, and watched a number of sitcoms on TV.
In the evening, I enjoyed our weekly play-reading group at Fay's house, during which we finished the Irish play ("Drama at Inish") that we had started last week and read another short Tennessee Williams play ("The Last of My Solid Gold Watches").
I walked a total of 9.4 kilometers today.

Shabbat, 25 February 2017
I slept well and long again last night and got up refreshed.
After breakfast, I went for a walk around the big loop, somewhat extended. I wore a t-shirt, short pants, and socks and shoes, and I made it a leisurely trip with several stops to rest. I took quite a few pictures, including today's pic of the day, a white butterfly sitting on some red flowers:
I had sweet peppers and rice and eggs for lunch.
The rest of the day, I mostly relaxed, watched sitcoms on TV, played on my iPad, and talked to Joyce in Ohio.
I walked a total of 6.2 kilometers today.

Friday, 24 February 2017
I went to bed quite early last night, slept very well, and got up only slightly later than average.
After breakfast, I took out the trash and recycling, and then I walked up and bought challah for Shabbat.
A little later, I walked downtown to check out this week's street market. I looked at all the booths, but I only bought a box of small red and yellow peppers (NOT hot) for 10 shekels. I walked home via a long meandering router, stopping 2 or 3 times to rest and not hurrying at all. I took several pictures of flowers, which I posted publicly on Facebook.
I had veggie burger and cheese sandwiches and small peppers (sweet, not hot) for lunch.
After lunch, I got all the weekly household chores done.
The rest of the day, I relaxed, watching sitcoms and playing games. Pascal sat on my lap multiple times, and at one point I took today's pic of the day of him:
As the light was about to fade from our valley, I lit candles, drank sweet red wine, and ate challah to welcome Shabbat.
I walked a total of 5.8 kilometers today.

Thursday, 23 February 2017
I didn't sleep very well last night because my neighbor was talking rather loudly on the phone for about 4 hours, I think. Eventually, he stopped, and I did get some sleep and got up very late.
In the morning, I did some grocery shopping at the Elimelech Supermarket.
I had a cauliflower, some small sweet peppers (not hot), and weenies in tortillas for lunch.
After lunch, I went for a walk around the big loop. I was a little tired, but I made it successfully. I took one photo, today's pic of the day, my shadow on a stone wall:

Wednesday, 22 February 2017
I went to bed very early last night and woke up quite early this morning, but I managed to go back to sleep, and thus I felt more rested and ready for the day when I did finally did get up.
I walked over to see my family doctor with the report from the surgeon and to get a prescription for the medicine that he (the surgeon) recommended. Then, I walked into town and got it filled at the pharmacy. Unfortunately, as the surgeon had warned me, it is NOT covered by Maccabi, and so I had to pay nearly 300 shekels for a one-month supply! I'm going to manage somehow, because it may be important for my long-term return to normality.
On my walk into town, I went through an area of villas in Shakhamon where I saw a group of pretty flowers in planters, as you can see in today's pic of the day:
After the pharmacy, I walked down to the pet store and was able to get a mouse (a hopper, not quite as big as an adult) for Goldfinger. He was very happy when it appeared in his cage and knew exactly what to do with it, of course.
I had a yam, a baked potato, two vegetarian shnitzels, and 3 cookies for lunch today.
After lunch, I walked over to help some friends with some computer stuff involving printing documents that I had double-spaced and put into large print and some tracks of music. It quite a bit of time, but I really enjoyed it and was glad that I was able to be helpful. I also enjoyed a lovely British afternoon tea while I was there (actually, coffee, cake, and cookies).
In the evening, I relaxed a bit and watched 2 or 3 episodes of "Friends".
I walked a total of 8.8 kilometers today.

Tuesday, 21 February 2017
Not so surprisingly, I slept very well last night. I still got up quite early this morning, though.
I walked over to the WIZO meeting, which I enjoyed as always, and then I walked into town to do some other errands, including buying some more pull-ups at the SuperPharm there.
I walked a little more than half the way home, and then I felt tired and didn't want to go uphill any more, so I caught a bus the rest of the way. I actually took a little nap in my chair even before eating lunch.
For lunch I had a salad with half a yellow bell pepper, a large tomato, and a vegetarian "breast" chopped into small pieces added. I used Asian sweet and hot sauce for the dressing, and it was quite good. I also ate some slices of cheese and had the rest of the baklava for dessert.
In the evening, I went over to David & Bassia's to help them with opening some files I had sent to them. Actually, they were Google Docs, and I had merely sent the links to them with permission to look at them. Of course, I stayed and chatted and helped them with some other things, as well.
I walked a total of 7.5 kilometers today.

Monday, 20 February 2017
I woke up and got up at about 4:30 this morning, 15 minutes before my alarm was set. By 5:00, I was on my way walking to the airport, arriving there even before it opened. After checking in, I had a large cheese burekas and a bottle of PepsiMax for breakfast.
I took LOTS of pictures on the flight to Tel Aviv: the take-off from Eilat, and various views of the Negev, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Highway 6, Ben Gurion Airport, and Tel Aviv. One of them, a view of the Big and Small Makteshes (craters NOT due to volcanic activity or meteor impact but, instead, due to land just sinking at some point long ago), is today's pic of the day (the big on is further away and so looks smaller -- I've been to and in BOTH of them):
After landing in Tel Aviv, I walked over to the hospital, taking more pictures, mostly of flowers, along the way. I arrived plenty early for my 9:30 appointment, and, of course, the doctor was running late anyway.
The appointment was really excellent, mostly because of my great surgeon, Dr. Tal Keren-Paz, whom I highly recommend. He answered my questions, gave me helpful information, was very friendly and personable, and spoke fluent, nearly perfect English (none of which surprised me, since I have ALWAYS had good experiences with him). I have to go back to see him in 5 weeks, after taking a PSA test 2 months after the surgery. This will help them make sure that no cancer got outside the prostate (which they removed). There a very small possibility that some did because there were cells in the prostate wall in one small area, according to the report from the pathologist.
I then walked around the mall next to the hospital a little, headed over to Kikar Rabin, and then walked up to Gan Me'ir to meet my friend, David, after his meeting with his senior group at the LGBT Center there was finished.
When he emerged, we stood around talking with some of his friends and then proceeded to walk to a mall on Ibn Gabirol Street north of Kikar Rabin, where he treated me to lunch at a place we had eaten before. Both of us had noodles with a light Asian sauce.
After that, we continued walking to his apartment, still further north on Ibn Gabirol, where we rested and chatted a little before I walked to the airport. He walked with me as far as HaYarkon River.
I had called and thought that I had verified that my return flight was at 6:00, but when I arrived at the airport and checked in (about 5:15), they asked me why I was so late. They sent me immediately to the flight, and the boarding pass said that boarding time was 4:45! I'm still not sure if the 5:00 flight was merely delayed and they somehow thought I was booked on it, or if there actually was NO 6:00 flight at all. Anyway, I got on the plane and got back to Eilat a little earlier than I had expected. The flight back was fine
I decided to take a bus home, since I had already done a LOT of walking. In fact, I walked a total of 15.8 kilometers today!

I ate breakfast early and then walked down to Maccabi for my weekly blood test (to see how my blood thinner is working). From there, I walked over to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly prescriptions. Then I checked the pet store for mice (for my snake, Goldfinger). They didn't have any.
I was feeling good, so I decided to take a more meandering route back home. In the process, I discovered a park that I had never seen before, in the middle of the Ganim A neighborhood. I took several pictures there, including today's pic of the day:
I relaxed in the afternoon, talking to David in Tel Aviv on the phone, watching a few sitcoms, playing some games, and eating quesadillas for lunch.
In the evening, I went to our weekly play-reading group, which I enjoyed as always.
I walked a total of 7 kilometers today.

Shabbat, 18 February 2017
I slept well last night and got up slowly this morning.
After breakfast, I talked with David in Tel Aviv on the phone, and then I went out for a walk into the nearby desert hills. I walked up the bicycle trail to the pipeline road and then followed it over a pass to Nakhal Shakhamon, by which I returned to town. There were many wildflowers along the way, and I took lots of pictures of them and of the scenery in general. Today's pic of the day shows a group of flowers with White Mountain in the background:
I had my traditional rice and eggs for lunch. I also had a nice salad and more than a third of the baklava that I bought yesterday at the bakery.
In the afternoon, I relaxed, watched sitcoms, and played games. Of course I also talked to Joyce in Ohio at our usual time.
I walked 3.7 kilometers today but over rougher terrain with more elevation gain than my walks in the city, of course.

I slept well last night and got up refreshed this morning.
After breakfast, I bought challah (and more baklava), did the weekly chores, and did some grocery shopping. Then I relaxed and played games.
I had a tomato, a cucumber, 2 beets, some rice, and some cheese for lunch today.
After lunch, I took a walk around the big loop, slightly extended. The air was extra clear today, and there were many lovely flowers, so I took quite a few pictures, some of the view across the valley, and some of the beautiful flowers. It was hard to pick today's pic of the day from them, but I finally decided on this lovely little flower:
After I got back home, I spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching sitcoms. But I did, of course, also take time to welcome Shabbat with candle-lighting, wine, and challah.
I walked a total of 8.5 kilometers today.

Thursday, 16 February 2017
I had a little trouble falling back asleep last night after getting up to pee, but, overall, I slept fairly well and got a good start to my day.
The main project for today was an appointment with my family doctor at 9:10. I walked over for that (about 2.5 km each way) and back. On the way over, the sky was partly cloudy with a fair amount of sunshine, but on the way back it was almost completely cloudy, with only a few small patches of blue sky. I took several pictures along the way, including today's pic of the day, a nice view up Nakhal Shakhamon with the shadows of the clouds adding even more variety than usual to the colors:
The rest of the day, I just relaxed at home. I watched quite a few sitcoms, including one of Two and a Half Men that I actually watched twice. It had a very interesting twist near the end.
I had a salad, weenies wrapped in tortillas, and a couple of cookies for lunch.
I walked a total of 5.2 kilometers today.

Wednesday, 15 February 2017
I slept well last night and got up refreshed.
My main mission for the day was to get down to the pharmacy to buy some more pull-ups (a sort of cross between underwear and disposable diapers for adults). I walked down shortly after breakfast, stopping by the optician's to get my glasses adjusted slightly on the way. Then I walked back home, taking my time, listening to music, and talking to David in Tel Aviv on the phone. I also took several photos, including today's pic of the day, a kind of flower I don't think I've seen before:
Next, I got a load of laundry done. It's still hanging out in the hallway drying on a couple of racks.
For lunch, I had a salad and weenies in pita with ketchup (a little messy, in fact).
In the afternoon and evening, I was mostly lazy, just watching sitcoms and playing games. I did get some plays separated out of an online book and ready for printing.
I walked a total of 7.2 kilometers today.

Tuesday, 14 February 2017
I got up quite early this morning and relaxed a while before breakfast, which I still ate much earlier than usual.
When I went out for a bit today with Pascal, I walked up the steps to the backyard (of the house, although it's near my gate entrance) and snapped today's pic of the day from there:
I walked over to today's WIZO meeting. It was sunny, but the air was slightly cool with almost no breeze at all.
After our usual socializing and announcements, we took turns telling stories about our experiences in airplanes and airports. We heard a lot of stories, and I think everyone really enjoyed it.
I walked home after WIZO and relaxed for a while before eating a late lunch: salad, vegetarian shnitzel, and cookies.
The rest of the day, I just took it easy, watching TV and playing games on my iPad. In the evening, I also talked with David in Tel Aviv.
I walked a total of 3.7 kilometers today.

Monday, 13 February 2017
I lay in bed a while before getting up this morning, and then I mostly just had a lazy day. I did do everything I needed to do, though.
I called and arranged for my flights to Tel Aviv and back next Monday for my follow-up visit with the surgeon.
I printed out the results of my lab tests so that I can take them with me to the appointment with the surgeon.
I went to the grocery store and got stocked up on several things I needed, including fruits and vegetables.
I had a salad, two veggie burgers in a pita with cheese, and the rest of the baklava for lunch at home.
I scanned 4 more one-act plays for our play-reading group.
I walked only 340 meters today.

Sunday, 12 February 2017
I slept well and woke up early this morning. I still had to wait quite a while before I could walk down to Maccabi for my blood test. My weekly one does NOT require fasting, but this time I was also getting the ones in preparation for my follow-up appointment with the surgeon, and at least one of them DOES require fasting.
After my blood tests, I walked over to Uga Chaga for breakfast. When I got there, they were only open for hot drinks, so I ordered some coffee and sat there until 8:00, when the kitchen opened. Then I had shakshuka and bread for breakfast. The shakshuka actually wasn't very good, but it was nourishing, and I ate it all.
Next, I walked back over to Maccabi to make arrangements for my trip a week from tomorrow to Tel Aviv for my follow-up appointment with the surgeon. I also needed to see a doctor to get a new prescription for Coumadin, since I had run out and I couldn't get an appointment with my regular doctor.
Then I headed down to the pet store, pausing for some time to talk on the phone with David in Tel Aviv. They still didn't have any mice there, but I needed to get cat litter and cat food anyway. I decided to have them delivered, since the bag of cat litter is VERY heavy, of course.
I was feeling quite energetic by them, so I walked home to get rid of my jacket and my bag of medical record. I snapped today's pic of the day on the way back, a view that includes a cloud just blocking the sun, palm trees, and a couple of Israeli flags:
I then walked back down to Maccabi for my appointment at 12:30, got my prescription, and went over to the pharmacy to get it filled. That was enough walking, though, so I took the bus back home.
I had a cucumber, a couple of beets, and weenies wrapped in tortillas for lunch at home. I also ate some more of my baklava for dessert.
In the evening, I went to our weekly play-reading group, which I enjoyed as always. I again got a ride both ways with Jud. She's an Israeli who just recently joined the group.
I walked a total of 7 kilometers this morning.

Shabbat, 11 February 2017
I went to bed late last night and so also got up late this morning. I had slept well, though.
After breakfast, I relaxed, talked to David in Tel Aviv, and then went out for a walk around the big loop (down Argaman to Sheshet HaYamim, out to the end of town, up the Nakhal Garuf Promenade, and back home via Harim Road and Argaman). I walked fairly slowly and rested a couple of times along the way but was still dragging a bit on the last stretch. I took several pictures, including today's pic of the day, a pretty bug on the promenade:
I had my usual salad and eggs and rice for lunch.
In the afternoon I just relaxed and talked to Joyce and her husband in Ohio.
In the evening, I watched some sitcoms on TV and part of Saturday Night Live.
I walked a total of 5.9 kilometers today.

Friday, 10 February 2017
I slept well last night, got up fairly early, and ate breakfast early, too. After breakfast, I went up to buy challah for Shabbat, and I also bought myself a box of baklava (yum!).
A little later, I enjoyed a nice chat with David in Tel Aviv, after which I went out for a walk (wearing short pants, a t-shirt, and flip flops) and then did the weekly chores.
For lunch, I had tomato-and-cheese sandwiches and some of the baklava.
In the afternoon, I relaxed and then lit candles, drank some sweet red wine, and ate a little challah to welcome Shabbat.
In the evening, I went over to Bassia & David's for dinner and, of course, enjoyed the food and conversation, as I always do at their place. Before we started eating out on the balcony, I snapped today's pic of the day, the full Tu B'shvat moon over Aqaba:

Thursday, 9 February 2017
I had some trouble sleeping near the beginning of last night, but at least I was awake when the sirens went off to warn of missiles a little before 11:00 p.m. If I had been asleep, they probably wouldn't even have wakened me. Of course, there was nothing I needed to do, since I was already snug in my bed in the very safest spot in my building (in the middle of the basement). According to the reports today, 4 missiles came our way from Sinai (ISIS claimed responsibility). One was NOT intercepted because it was headed for an open area, but the other 3 were successfully intercepted by Iron Dome (קיפת ברזל -- literally, "iron kippah"). Not long after that, though, I went to sleep and slept well the rest of the night, getting up quite early.
In the morning, I had a nice chat with David in Tel Aviv. Then I took the number 1 bus and got off near the university. From there, I walked over to Holland Park, where I enjoyed nature and the desert. I took several pictures, including today's pic of the way, wildflowers growing where the water flowed briefly after the big rain (a couple of months ago):
After that, I walked into town and did some browsing at Rami Levi and Shufersal (2 very large supermarkets in that area). I only actually bought one item, at Shufersal, a package of whole-wheat pitas. Then I caught the number 6 bus back home.
I had a salad, weenies wrapped in tortillas, and a baked potato (with plenty of butter!) for lunch at home.
The rest of the day, I just relaxed, watching old American sitcoms on TV and playing games.
I walked a total of 5.1 kilometers today.

Wednesday, 8 February 2017
I again went to bed quite early last night and got up quite early this morning.
In the midmorning, I did a load of laundry and walked over to the Shufersal near WIZO and back, buying a few items while I was there. On my way back, I took today's pic of the day, some lovely yellow flowers:
I had vegetarian shnitzel, rice, and a salad for lunch at home today, plus 2 cookies.
In the late afternoon, I took another walk, this time going out Harim Road almost all the way to Ein Netafim and back.
A little later, my friend, Jud, drove me over to a store in the industrial area (near Home Center) where I was able to get adult pull-up diapers for about half the price I paid at SuperPharm. I'm very thankful to her for showing me this store (and, of course, for taking me there), because I never would have known about it otherwise.
The rest of the day, I just relaxed, playing games, watching some TV, and even napping a little in my chair after lunch.

Tuesday, 7 February 2017
I went to bed early last night and got up early this morning, feeling well-rested.
Today was the warmest day we've had in some time, so I walked very comfortably over to WIZO wearing socks and shoes, slacks, and a short-sleeve t-shirt.
On my way back, I made a detour to the Mega supermarket near the hospital. I also took some time to chat on the phone with David in Tel Aviv. Today's pic of the day is of a small, hidden green area that I happened upon near Izidor during that walk:
They didn't have either of the items I was hoping to find at Mega, but I did buy a few other things there that I can use. Then I walked home rather leisurely, taking a longer but less steep route.
I had a salad and quesadillas for lunch.
I was lazy the rest of the day, watching TV, playing games, and relaxing in my chair.
I walked a total of 4.3 kilometers today.

Monday, 6 February 2017
I got up later this morning but well-rested. Nevertheless, I mostly relaxed and watched TV in the morning (Yes Comedy channel, old American sitcoms).
For lunch, I ate a large salad and weenies on the 2nd challah from last Friday.
After lunch, I walked around the big loop with some variations (but still the full distance). I rested several times along the way and took my time, but I was still dragging a little bit on the way home. But I made it, and it was good! I wore socks and shoes, jeans, and a short-sleeve t-shirt (no jacket) and felt very comfortable -- it was a lovely day today: sunny with a good cool breeze.
After resting and even napping a bit in my chair, I went over and did some grocery shopping. As I stepped out of my gate, I saw the last light of the day still on the Jordanian mountains across the valley and snapped today's pic of the day:
I then talked from some time on the phone with David in Tel Aviv.

Sunday, 5 February 2017
I got up early this morning and ate a somewhat lighter breakfast early, too.
At about 8:00, I set out walking to Maccabi in town for my weekly blood test. After that, I walked over to the Soleil Boutique Hotel for the monthly WIZO breakfast, stopping to browse at one of the household trinkets stores along the way.
The breakfast (more like brunch, really, and, for me, serving as lunch) was very good, as always, and I especially enjoyed the lively conversations swirling around me today.
I took a bus home rather than attempting to walk all that way uphill. Then, I pretty much relaxed all afternoon, watching some TV and playing games sitting in my comfortable chair. Pascal was lazy, too, as you can see in today's pic of the day:

In the early evening, I talked with Joyce in Ohio, who was in the hospital for a couple days this last week, just after I got out.
I walked a total of 5.1 kilometers today (really, all on that one walk).

I got up quite early this morning and ate breakfast early, too. I needed to go to the Maccabi pharmacy so that the pharmacist could talk to me about my Coumadin (blood-thinning medication) and related issues. She was very nice, very friendly, and very informative, explaining everything carefully. I was able to grasp the Hebrew quite nicely.
After returning home, I made of point of doing my weekly household chores.
I baked and ate both a potato and a yam for lunch today. I also had a salad and a vegetarian shnitzel.
After lunch I went out for a fairly long walk. I zigzagged up the hill to Harim Road, then walked over to Shakhamon, going as far as the small park by the towers there. When I sat down at the far end to rest, a beautiful and friendly calico cat came over for some attention. She sat for some time on my lap and I petted her. Our selfie is today's pic of the day:
I took several other picks on the walk, as well, including the every-gorgeous views of the Red Sea and Aqaba and of Nakhal Shakhamon. I also shot a number of pictures of wildflowers. We've got quite a few this year due to that soaking rainstorm we had a couple of months ago.
After that I just came home and relaxed. I also talked in the evening with David, in Tel Aviv, before lighting candles, sipping a little red wine, and eating some challah to welcome Shabbat.
I walked a total of 4.9 kilometers today.

Thursday, 2 February 2017
I slept fairly well last night and got up quite early. I even ate breakfast somewhat early. Afterwards, I went out for a walk in which I zigzagged up in order to alternate uphill stretches with level ones. Then I returned back down Argaman, my street. I walked for about 25 minutes. I took a couple of pictures of some lovely flowers up the street from me, one of which is today's pic of the day:
After lunch (a salad and weenies on bread with ketchup), I went out for another walk of about the same length. I employed a similar, though not identical, strategy for walking up, but then I came back a different way, stopping by the Einat market to buy a few items on my way back.
I watched a couple of episodes of "The Big Bang" on the Yes Comedy channel (which I had discovered while I was in the hospital). In the evening, I watched the 8:00 news in Hebrew, something I'm hoping to do more regularly, to improve my Hebrew.
I walked a total of 3.3 kilometers today.

Wednesday, 1 February 2017
I slept fairly well last night but got up very early.
I had scheduled an appointment with my family doctor at 10:10, and I took the bus over to Shakhamon for that. He looked at the release letter from the hospital, checked out the edema in my foot, and listened to my heart. He ordered me not to return to work for a month, giving me a letter for Berlitz to that effect, and he said I should come back and see him next Monday.
I then took another bus from there into town. I had to wait a few minutes for it, so I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph flowers on the median of Sara Imeinu.
The reason I went into town was to buy another pack of Depends at the downtown SuperPharm so that I'll be sure to have plenty of them. Then I took a third bus back home.
The rest of the day, I just relaxed at home, snoozing a little, playing games, and watching YouTube videos.
My bladder control is gradually improving, but I'll still be wearing Depends for a while, I think. Part of my strategy initially is to sit on the toilet quite often, draining my bladder so it never gets very full. The Depends do work beautifully to contain the urine when it does leak out.
I walked 1.1 kilometers today.
