August is off to a good start! After a good night's sleep, I awoke early, feeling refreshed, and headed out for a wonderful long walk in the desert hills. I arrived at the destination spot several minutes before the sun came up. And what was that? It was the spot high on a ridge overlooking the city where there is a table and a proud Israeli flag! I took lots of pictures, both on the way up and on the way back (by a completely different route, through Nakhal Shakhamon), and, of course, I also took pictures by the flag, lots of them, including a selfie and several shots of the sunrise itself. Today's pic of the day is one of the latter:
After returning from my lovely walk, I ate breakfast and mostly relaxed for the morning. Before lunch, I walked over to the supermarket and bought quite a few things, since my supplies of vegetables, in particular, were quite low.
For lunch, I had a nice salad with one new ingredient: sliced radishes. I also had slices of cheese in tortillas.
I taught 4 units of Berlitz lesson today: 3:00-4:30 and 5:00-6:30.
I walked a total of 6.2 kilometers today.
