Wednesday, 24 April 2013

I slept well last night. I woke up a few times briefly but quickly went back to sleep again. The pain is becoming less and less of an issue, I think, for which I'm grateful.

I taught 6 units today: 9:00-10:30, 11:00-12:30, and 4:15-5:45. Both morning classes were level 1, the first a group of 2 students, and the second an individual student.

We had lunch at Greg café again today. David had tortellini with mushroom cream sauce, and I had their omelet sandwich.

I began work today on arranging my chaunkah medley, which I originally wrote for organ, for orchestra. I think it's going to be nice. I'm starting with the brass, plus bassoons, flutes, and clarinets, for the opening "Ma Oz Tzur". I may do the whole thing with only wind instruments, or I may decide to include some or all of the strings as well later on.

We had a nice long chat with David's sister after my last class today. Then we walked over to the green strip and sat on the bench there for quite a while. The weather was absolutely perfect out this evening!
