I slept well last night but felt tired when I woke up, so I didn't get up until fairly late. I still went for a short walk, buying challah at the bakery before returning home. I also took a number of pictures, most of them featuring my shadow, including today's pic of the day, taken along Harim Road:
After breakfast, I took the trash and recycling out and got the rest of my weekly chores done, as well.
I was scheduled to teach 4 units of Belitz today, but the first 2-unit lesson turned out to be a no-show: 10:00-11:30 and 11:30-1:00.
I watched a couple of episodes each of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Modern Family".
For lunch, I had cheese in tortillas, 2 tomatoes, a cucumber, and 2 carrots.
In the late afternoon, I walked over to Isobel's to get her latest cat-feeding procedure down. I'll being feeding them a few times while she's away. On the way back, I made a small detour up to the Einat supermarket to buy a 6-pack of PepsiMax.
As the sunlight began to fade from our beautiful hot valley, I lit candles, drank a little sweet red wine, and ate some challah to welcome another Shabbat.
In the evening, I did a little reading on the internet about timbre, harmonics, and Fourier series, preparing for my bi-weekly project for my class, "The Technology of Music Production".
I walked a total of 3.5 kilometers today.

I slept well last night, got up early this morning, and took a great walk around the big loop. I took a number of pictures, including today's pic of the day, using the recently risen sun and some buildings to create an interesting silhouette:
I taught 8 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-10:30, 10:30-12:00, 3:30-5:00, and 6:00-7:30.
After my morning lessons, I did some grocery shopping at the local market.
I had a large salad (with added tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, and carrot), a shnitzel, a little rice, and 3 breadsticks for lunch.
I walked a total of 6.9 kilometers today.

I slept well last night but woke up tired and so didn't get up for some time. Even when I finally did, I didn't feel like going out for a walk. I think I'm still recovering from all the walking I did in Tel Aviv on Monday.
Since I didn't take any pictures today, I'll use another picture from Monday for today's pic of the day, a view of the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv as seen from the bridge where Ibn Gabirol Avenue crosses it:
I was scheduled to teach 4 units of Berlitz lessons today, but I was offered and accepted an additional 2-unit lesson in the middle of the day: 10:00-11:30, 12:15-1:45 (the extra one), and 3:00-4:30.
I had 2 carrots, a tomato, a cucumber, and weenies wrapped in tortillas for lunch.
I didn't even go out of my apartment all day today!

I slept well and long last night after yesterday's busy day.
Since I didn't actually take any pictures today, today's pic of the day is one I took yesterday, a gorgeous orange hibiscus in Tel Aviv:
This morning at WIZO, Sharona did a very nice presentation of videos of memorable live performances by famous people and bands. It was enjoyable and well-received. I think we all had a good time.
After WIZO, I walked up to the Shufersal near there to buy some peanut butter since I was completely out of it. Then I took the bus back home (I had also taken the bus over there -- it's too hot to be walking that far, even in the mid-morning).
I watched a few sitcoms and had 2 carrots, a cucumber, and cheese-and-tomato sandwiches for lunch.
I was scheduled to teach 3 units of Berlitz lessons, but the first lesson (1 unit) turned out to be a late cancellation, and I was also offered an additional 2-unit lesson after my last scheduled one, which I readily accepted: 4:00-4:45, 5:00-6:30, and 6:30-8:00.
I walked only 840 meters today.

I got up very early this morning and was out the gate on my way to the airport a minute before 5:00 a.m. My flight left at 6:40. As we were approaching the Sde Dov airport in Tel Aviv, I took today's pic of the day, showing most of central Tel Aviv:
After arriving in Tel Aviv I walked over to the hospital for my 5-month check-up with my surgeon, getting there plenty early.
I got a big of a surprise. I had done a PSA check earlier in order to take the results to the surgeon, and I had noticed that it had risen from 0.04 to 0.06. I had also figured that this was probably not very significant. Apparently, however, I was wrong. The doctor said there are basically 2 choices for people in my situation: having radiation quite soon, or waiting to see if the PSA will go down later on its own or not. Studies have shown, though, that the best outcomes are achieved by NOT waiting to do radiation, so I intend to opt for that. In addition to another appointment with the surgeon in 3 months, I have also scheduled an appointment with the oncologist in 2 months (late August) to discuss the radiation option and, probably, to make arrangements to undergo it. The surgeon told me that it's not as heavy a radiation as I would have had if I had chosen it instead of surgery. Anyway, the adventure continues, and I'm feeling very positive about it, so I hope all of you are, too.
After I was finished at the hospital, I met my friend, Brett, who is visiting Tel Aviv from LA, and he took me to lunch at a great all-vegan restaurant. The food was indeed delicious!
Then my friend, David, met us, and the 3 of us talked for a while before Brett took his leave. I continued with David to another cafe, where he ate and I had a soda. By then, it was time for me to head back to the airport, so David walked with me as far as his apartment.
I caught the 4:30 flight back and then took a bus home from town since it was definitely too hot to be out walking. It felt very good to be back home!
I walked a total of 13.6 kilometers today!

Sunday, 25 June 2017
I slept well last night, woke up fairly early, but didn't get up for some time. When I did finally get out of bed, I ate a light breakfast right away.
I didn't take any pictures today, so today's pic of the day is another shadow photo I took yesterday:
I spent quite a bit of time today watching video lectures for my online course, The Technology of Music Production. Much of it is still only marginally useful to me, since I don't actually record any audio in my work. However, the part on MIDI editing was quite useful and caused me to read that section of my Digital Performer manual rather carefully. This will allow me to more easily edit things like crescendi (where an instrument gradually gets louder), decrescendi (where it gradually gets softer), and gradual tempo changes (retards and accelerations). I have been doing this in a clumsy, slow, and often not very accurate manner, but the things I'm learning will help make this process better, faster, and more accurate.
David and Bassia treated me to brunch at Uga Chaga today, and I really enjoyed that. After I finished, I bought a cake there for tonight's play-reading group, and then I walked down to the pet store and bought a mouse for Goldfinger. I traveled both into town and back home by bus, since it's getting too hot to walk that far near the middle of the day (especially since there's less shade then).
In the late afternoon, I watched a couple of episodes of "That '70s Show", which I enjoyed very much.
In the evening, we started reading "Ondine" in our play-reading group.
I walked a total of 1.7 kilometers today.

Shabbat, 24 June 2017
I got up a little late this morning, but I still went for a walk around the big loop. I took plenty of pictures, including quite a few involving my shadow. Today's pic of the day is one of them:
I started the 2nd class in my music production specialization today. It's entitled "The Technology of Music Production" and is very similar to one I took a number of years ago, also on Coursera (in fact, I think it was the first course I took on the platform) and also taught by the same Berklee School of Music teacher, Loudon Stearns. As before, he is absolutely excellent, and I'm re-learning some of the things I learned then but later forgot.
I watched a few sitcoms today: 3 episodes each of "Black-ish" and "Modern Family".
I had my traditional Shabbat lunch today: a salad, plus eggs and rice.
In the afternoon, I had my weekly chat with Joyce in Ohio. She was hospitalized this last week for 4 days, but she's doing better now.
I walked a total of 5.8 kilometers today.

I slept well and long last night and got up quite late. I also felt quite tired, but I went out for a walk anyway. Of course, I felt somewhat less tired after walking for a while, but I still didn't have my full energy. I did have a good walk, though, stopping by the bakery on the way back. Before I went into the bakery, though, I enjoyed Canada Gardens a little, sitting for a while, and then taking today's pic of the day (in which I got lucky and actually caught a crow flying by!):
I taught only 2 units of Berlitz today: 10:00-11:30.
I got the weekly chores done and watched some episode of sitcoms on TV, as well.
I had a tomato, a yellow bell pepper, a cucumber, a carrot, weenies wrapped in tortillas, and a few breadsticks for lunch.
In the afternoon, I made a few more changes to my symphony movement and then submitted it together with the required descriptions for this week's project in my music production class (which I'm taking online through Coursera). I think I'll still make some more changes, though. I actually tried to upload it for you to listen to hear, but it didn't work.

Thursday, 22 June 2017
I slept well last night, got up very early, and went for a great walk around the big loop, somewhat extended. I took a number of pictures, including today's pic of the day, the sunrise:
I taught 5 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:30-11:45 and 4:30-6:00.
I really enjoyed my sitcoms today, 8 episodes of 4 different shows.
For lunch, I had a veggie burger sandwich with tomato, mayonnaise, and mustard, as well as a nice big salad and some peanuts.
In the evening, I did some grocery shopping at the nearest supermarket.
I walked a total of 6.5 kilometers today.

Wednesday, 21 June 2017
I woke up early this morning but then went back to sleep and got up quite late. Nevertheless, I went out for a walk. I had intended to take a fairly short walk, but as I was walking along Harim Road, the desert beckoned to me, and so I walked up the bicycle trail to the pipeline road and returned via Nakhal Shakhamon. Of course I took plenty of pictures along the way, including today's pic of the day, featuring this artistic tree in Nakhal Shakhamon with the desert mountains behind it:
I taught only 2 units of Berlitz today: 10:00-11:30. It was a new German group of guys who work for a cable TV company that has recently also started offering telephone and internet services (like HOT here in Israel). I am scheduled to be their regular teacher.
I did some important work on the 2nd movement of my symphony today, and it's getting closer and closer to being done.
I watched quite a few sitcoms on TV today.
In the evening, I walked all the way over to the Shufersal near WIZO, bought a few things, and also stopped and bought some more things at the other market in that area on my way back.

Tuesday, 20 June 2017
I got up early this morning but ate a very early breakfast instead of going out for a walk.
I had a nice conversation on the phone with David in Tel Aviv this morning as I walked over to WIZO.
I went an hour early to WIZO to help set up for today's birthday celebration, but it turns out that my help wasn't actually needed. That's okay, though, because it just gave me more time for socializing with others who were also there early. It also meant that I walked over there before it got too hot out.
I had eaten breakfast early so that today's birthday celebration (for all people with birthdays in February through July) would serve as my lunch. Today's pic of the day is one I took of the birthday people:
After WIZO, I walked up to the nearby Shufersal and found that they had 6-packs of PepsiMax, which I had not been able to get recently at either of my local grocery stores. So I bought one and took it home with me on the bus.
In the afternoon, I enjoyed several episodes of some of my favorite sitcoms.
I taught only 2 units of Berlitz today: 5:30-7:00.
I walked a total of 2.3 kilometers today.

I slept very well last night and got up very early this morning. I proceeded to go for a nice walk around the big loop. I took several pictures, including today's pic of the day, a nice view of the outdoor gym:
I was very occupied almost all day because I taught 11 units (8 hours and 15 minutes!) of Berlitz lessons: 9:30-11:45, 12:00-1:30, 2:45-4:15, 4:30-6:00, and 6:00-7:30.

I went to bed early last night and got up early this morning. I also ate breakfast early,
After breakfast and my morning routine, I walked to David Furman's house by a circuitous route, arriving there just before 9:00. We had to check some numbers and then send out a couple more e-mails. Hopefully, he will finally receive the rest of his money for the billionaire's aborted vacation very soon.
On my walk this morning, I took a few pictures, including today's pic of the day, the view of the end of Harim Road from the last roundabout (at Yaakov Avinu St.):
When we were finished with our work, David took me into town to the pet shop, where I bought cat litter, cat food, and a mouse for Goldfinger. Then I took the bus home.
I got quite a bit of work done on the 2nd movement of my symphony today. In fact, I think all the notes are now in place, and there's only a bit more fine-tuning of the loudness levels of instruments here and there left to do.
I had cheese in tortillas and a large salad for lunch.
In the late afternoon, I watched two episodes of "That '70s Show". Then I did a little grocery shopping.
In the evening, I enjoyed our weekly play-reading group, as always. We finished reading the play we started last week, "The Enchanted" by Giraudoux.

Shabbat, 17 June 2017
I slept very well but got up a little late. Nevertheless, I went for a walk about the length of the big loop but on a different route, consisting partly of the big loop in reverse. Of course I took quite a few pictures along the way, including today's pic of the day, these lovely flowers:
I got quite a bit of work done on the 2nd movement of my symphony, mostly having to do with creating expression (crescendos and decrescendos). I also decided to set the tempo somewhat faster, which I like better.
I watched 3 episodes each of "Black-ish" and "Modern Family" today.
I returned to my traditional eggs and rice (plus a salad, of course) for lunch.
I had my usual weekly conversation via Skype with Joyce and her husband in Ohio. She had surgery this past week, which took longer than expected but found her bleeding problem and probably fixed it, as well as determining that she does NOT have cancer. That was good news!

Friday, 16 June 2017
I got to bed early last night and slept well. But when I began to wake up, I felt tired and so didn't get out of bed for some time. Finally, I did get up and started out for a medium-length walk. Unfortunately, before I got very far I tripped on a small irregularity in the sidewalk (because I was looking at something else) and fell. I went down fairly easily but all the way to the ground. I skinned my left knee a little but not enough for it to bleed (thankfully!). I also injured my left shoulder, which was quite painful but not really serious. I'll just have to take Optalgin (over-the-counter pain medication) for a few days, probably. The worst part was that I felt angry at myself for not being more careful and also a little scared because falling can be dangerous, and I was reminded once again about how unexpectedly it can strike.
I continued my walk but came back home sooner than I would have otherwise. I did stop by the bakery and buy challah, of course. As I crossed the street toward my gate, I stopped and took today's pic of the day, the view up the street:
After breakfast, I took out the trash and recycling. I didn't do any of the other weekly chores today, however.
I taught 2 units of Berlitz today: 9:00-10:30.
I spent a nice block of time watching 2 episodes each of "Modern Family", "Friends", and "The Big Bang Theory".
I had a carrot, a large salad, a shnitzel, and 3 breadsticks for lunch.
In the afternoon, I spent quite a bit of time working on the 2nd movement of my symphony. I wasn't adding notes; I was fine-tuning expression and balancing parts. I got quite a bit done, but there's still more to do along those lines. Then, I can write the next section, which will be a modified version of the beginning of the movement. This will give it a rough overall ABA form.
As I do virtually ever Friday evening, I lit candles, drank a little sweet red wine, and ate a bit of challah to welcome the Shabbat Queen.
I walked a total of 2.1 kilometers today.

I went to bed early last night and slept well, but I woke up rather tired and didn't get up until quite late.
Since I didn't get out for a walk, today's pic of the day is one I took yesterday, a pergola on the Nakhal Garuf Promenade:
I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-10:30 and 11:00-12:30.
I had a carrot, a salad, and cheese in tortillas for lunch.
I watched quite a few sitcoms on TV today. There are so many good ones I haven't seen!
I also made a quick grocery shopping trip to the Elimelech Supermarket.
I walked only 340 meters today.

I got up very early this morning and took a lovely walk around the big loop, even somewhat extended. Of course, I took many pictures along the way, including today's pic of the day, a silhouette using the early-morning sun:
I got my flights to and from Tel Aviv arranged for the 26th (for an appointment with my surgeon).
I watched quite a few sitcoms today, having carefully scheduled my viewing based on the online program guide for the Yes Comedy channel.
I had a carrot, a cucumber, some nuts, and some cookies for lunch.
I finished all of week 4 of my online music production course except for the project, which should be fairly easy this week. I think, though, that I WILL take the opportunity to write some more of my symphony movement, since our clip this week can be up to 4 minutes long (instead of last week's 3 minutes).
I did a little grocery shopping up at the Einat Center supermarket. I went there because they carry the larger size of the type of 1000-island dressing that I like, but while I was there I bought some other items, as well.
I walked a total of 6.4 kilometers today.

I got up a little late and tired this morning, so I didn't go out for a walk before breakfast.
After breakfast, I talked for some time with David in Tel Aviv before leaving for WIZO.
We enjoyed a special presentation at WIZO today, featuring Bassia reading some of the poems she wrote when they lived on the Greek island of Paros, accompanied by her husband, David, playing original music he wrote for guitar to accompanying the poetry.
Afterwards, I walked back home, taking several pictures along the way, including today's pic of the day, some exquisitely beautiful and photogenic little flowers:
I enjoyed several funny sitcoms today. I also started watching the week 4 videos of my online class in music production.
I had 2 tomatoes, a carrot, and a couple of slices of cheese for lunch.
I taught only 2 units of Berlitz today: 4:30-6:00.
I walked a total of 2.7 kilometers today.

I slept well last night and got up quite late. Nevertheless, I went for a short walk, including a work-out at the outdoor gym. I also took some pics, including today's pic of the day, a selfie with upper Nakhal Shakhamon in the background:
I taught 7 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:30-11:45, 4:30-6:00, and 6:00-7:30.
I watched quite a few sitcoms during the time I wasn't working.
For lunch, I had a big salad and weenies in tortillas.
I also did a load of laundry today, which is now hanging out in the corridor to dry.
I walked a total of 2.9 kilometers today.

I slept well and long last night and got up somewhat late this morning. I ate breakfast early, though.
After breakfast, I walked down to Maccabi for my weekly blood test (and also the PSA test before my next appointment with my surgeon at Ichilov).
After that, I got everything set for my trip to Tel Aviv (to see the surgeon on the 26th) except the flight reservations. Then I went over to MaccabiPharm to get my monthly prescriptions. Finally, I tried to get a mouse for Goldfinger, but they had none.
I decided to walk home by a longer, more circuitous route in order to get more exercise and also to enjoy the beautiful morning. Although it was fairly hot, there was quite a bit of shade and, most importantly of all, a good amount of wind. I took a number of pictures, including today's pic of the day, the Egyptian Consulate in Eilat, proudly flying their flag:
After returning home, I did some grocery shopping.
I had shnitzel, a large salad, and some breadsticks for lunch.
In the mid-afternoon, I watched a couple of episodes of That 70s Show on TV.
Other than that, I mostly just relaxed.
In the evening, I went to our weekly meeting of the play-reading group.
I walked a total of 5.6 kilometers today.

Shabbat, 10 June 2017
I had a second night of difficult sleeping last night, but at least I've figured out the problem. When I first went on low-dose Cialis, I had the same problem (vague restlessness and aching), and I solved it by taking Optalgin (a pain reliever), which I continued taking regularly for some time. Eventually, though, I quit taking it without any attendant troubles. Now, however, they appear to have returned, so I'm going to take the Optalgin tonight. We'll see if it helps or not.
I did quite a bit of work on my symphony today and submitted the updated version for my project this week in my music production class.
I have now located the website where I can find out exactly which shows are on and when on the Yes Comedy channel, so I go through the listings each morning to see which ones I want to watch, and then I schedule the time. This way, I can watch only the ones I really want to, and I can plan to do other things in between.
I tried a new experiment for lunch today. I cooked my two eggs in half a can of baked beans (instead of with rice). It was surprisingly good, actually! I also had a salad for lunch.
In the late afternoon, I enjoyed my weekly chat with Joyce and her husband in Ohio.

Friday, 9 June 2017
I woke up and got up late this morning. The only walk I took was up to the bakery to buy challah for Shabbat. I also took out the trash and recycling after breakfast. Other than that, I didn't even leave my apartment all day, which was good, since the high temperature for today was forecast to be 44ºC (111ºF).
I was scheduled to teach 3 units of Berlitz today, but the first) lesson (1-unit turned out to be a no-show: 9:00-9:45 and 11:30-1:00.
Between lessons, I did the rest of the weekly chores.
I had a tomato, a carrot, half a yellow bell pepper, and 2 quesadillas for lunch. Today's pic of the day is my lunch (except for the quesadillas, which I made after eating the vegetables):
In the early afternoon, I watched some sitcoms on TV. The rest of the afternoon, I mostly worked on my music, the 2nd movement of my symphony. At least I'm beginning to make decent progress on it.
In the early evening, I lit candles, drank a little sweet red wine, and ate some challah to welcome Shabbat.
I walked a total of 680 meters today.

Since I didn't take any pictures today, the pic of the day is this gorgeous flower pic I took yesterday:
I woke up early, stayed in bed for quite some time, finally got up, but didn't go out for a walk.
I taught 7 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:30-11:45, 4:30-6:00, and 7:00-8:30.

I slept well last night, woke up and got up early, and took a nice long walk around the big loop. I took many pictures, including today's pic of the day, a silhouette formed by the recently risen sun behind a house in the extreme southwest corner of town:
It wasn't until I was eating breakfast that I was reminded that I had scheduled an appointment with my family doctor at 8:50. Luckily, I realized before the time and quickly went online to cancel and reschedule it for 11:10.
I got quite a bit done today. I scanned that last play by Giraudoux from the book, worked on the 2nd movement of my symphony (which is also part of my project for week 3 of my music production class), went to the doctor's appointment, and did a little grocery shopping in town.
I had a carrot, a cucumber, half a yellow bell pepper, a tomato, 2 vegan shnitzels for lunch, and 4 breadsticks.
I taught 2 units of Berlitz today: 7:00-8:30.
The rest of the day, I mostly relaxed and watched sitcoms on TV.
I walked a total of 7.5 kilometers today.

I woke up early but tired this morning, and so I rested (and even slept some more, I think) in bed until quite a bit later.
I had a nice conversation this morning with David in Tel Aviv.
I walked over to the WIZO meeting this morning and took today's pic of the day along the way:
There was no program at WIZO today. We all just enjoyed sitting and chatting with each other.
After WIZO, I did a little grocery shopping at the nearby Shufersal before taking a bus back home.
I had a salad and 2 hard-boiled eggs, plus some baklava, for lunch today.
I spent most of the afternoon enjoying sitcoms on TV.
I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today: 5:30-7:00 and 7:00-8:30.
I walked a total of 1.9 kilometers today.

Even though I got to bed rather late last night, I got up reasonably early this morning. I felt a bit tired, though, so I didn't go out for a walk.
After breakfast, however, I walked into town, first to the bank and then to Maccabi, where I had my appointment with the cardiologist. At first, he was going to prescribe the medicine he ordered last time (which I only took for one month), but after I reminded him that I had done the Holter Test and he checked the results, he said that I really didn't need to do anything. He does want me to come back in a couple of months.
I took a couple of flower pictures during my walk, including today's pic of the day, a tiny yellow flower:
From Maccabi, I walked down and bought a mouse for Goldfinger before catching the bus back home.
At 1:00, I had a chat with Spencer, the Berlitz guy who observed one of my lessons last week. The general feedback was quite good despite the usual criticisms.
For lunch, I had a carrot, a cucumber, a red bell pepper, a tomato, and a couple of cheese sandwiches.
In the mid-afternoon, I did some grocery shopping at the nearest supermarket.
I was scheduled to teach 4 units of Berlitz lessons today, but the second 2-unit lesson turned out to be a no-show: 4:30-6:00 and 6:00-7:30.

Sunday, 4 June 2017
I got up early this morning, ate a very small breakfast almost immediately (a large handful of walnuts), and relaxed until it was time to go to Maccabi. I managed to get a nice picture of another bug just about to leave a flower on my walk:
I had an appointment with the nurses for an EKG at 8:20. After that, I did the weekly blood test. From there, I walked leisurely over to the Soleil Boutique Hotel for this month's weekly brunch there. I paused a bit before getting there to catch this short video of a jet landing:
After a really enjoyable and delicious brunch, I caught a bus over to David Furman's house where I helped him send a couple of e-mails. We are almost done now with the wrap-up of the billionaire's aborted Dead Sea vacation trip. Then David drove me home.
In the afternoon, I watched a few sitcoms and also did all the week 3 work for my music production class except the project.
In the evening, I enjoyed the weekly play-reading group. Tonight, we finished read "The Mad Woman of Chaillot".

Shabbat, 3 June 2017
I woke up fairly early this morning but felt rather tired and lazy, so I didn't get up for quite some time, and I didn't go out for a walk, either.
I enjoyed a morning of sitcoms on TV and doing my week 2 project for my music production class.
I had lunch with David & Bassia and enjoyed talking with them, especially Bassia, for some time afterwards, as well. On my way back, I snapped today's pic of the day:
In the late afternoon, I had my weekly chat with Joyce and her husband. She gradually beginning to feel better. During the next couple of weeks, she'll be undergoing some tests that should help the doctors get to the root of some of her medical problems.
I walked a total of 2.6 kilometers today.

I slept well last night, got up early, and went for a moderate-length walk. I stopped twice at the outdoor gym and did a fairly extensive work-out there. I took several pictures along the way, again playing with my shadow. In today's pic of the day, he decided he was Spock:
On the way home, I stopped at the bakery to buy challah for Shabbat. They also had boxes of baklava which I proved unable to resist.
I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-10:30 and 10:30-12:00.
I had a carrot, a cucumber, a red bell pepper, a tomato, and weenies wrapped in tortillas for lunch.

I had trouble getting to sleep last night but still slept well and got up early. I walked around the big loop, somewhat extended, and took a number of pictures. There was a theme to many of them: my shadow. Today's pic of the day is the shadow pic I like the best (against a wall up the street from me, on the other side):
I was scheduled to teach 5 units of Berlitz lessons, but the 2-unit one in the evening turned out to be a no-show (as were this same student's last 9 lessons before this one): 9:30-11:45 and 7:00-8:30.
I scanned another play by Giraudoux today for our play-reading group.
I had a carrot, a cucumber, and tomato and cheese sandwiches for lunch today.
I spent much of the rest of the day enjoying sitcoms on TV.
