Today I again got up early and walked to the gym and back. This morning, though, it was cool out with a wonderful breeze. I still wore only my sandals and short pants, though (no shirt) and felt comfortable.
I got the weekly grocery shopping out of the way first thing this morning.
We had an appointment with a new social worker for David from a special program here for people with disabilities. Her name is Laura, and we were quite impressed with her. She young, having just graduated from university. She's originally from Argentina and speaks fairly good English. Most importantly, she's a warm and caring person who really "gets it".
Because today is our 18th anniversary, we splurged and ate out at Ginger. We both had miso soup, David had a Javanese noodle dish, and I had a noodle dish with 3 different kinds of mushrooms. We even had cocktails -- a ginger martini for David, and a drink with strawberry, mint, and gin for me. It was all very delicious! I was sitting facing basically east while we were eating there and got to watch 4 planes on their final approach to the airport, just before landing. It's quite dramatic -- it's not every restaurant where planes fly by practically just outside the window (well, actually there were about a block away, but that's still pretty close)!
In the late afternoon, we drove down to Ice Park for frozen yogurt. On our way there, though, we stopped by Buddha Burgers to order a vegan cheesecake (yes, it's better than most actual dairy cheesecakes that I've had!), which we will pick up on Tuesday, just in time for Shavuot.
Today, I looked at the final exams for both my U of the People classes to see if there were any errors. Luckily, I only found one.
