Friday, 10 July 2015

I got to bed early last night and woke up early this morning, allowing me to enjoy a nice morning walk. I also, of course, bought challah for Shabbat.

I taught 5 units of Berlitz lessons today (although the first lesson, 1 unit, turned out actually to be a no-show): 9:00-9:45, 10:00-11:30, and 11:30-1:00.

Me'ir and I ate lunch very late today, so we went to the Gulf Restaurant, where I had their delicious Greek salad.

Heaven and earth and all were finished.
On the seventh day, God completed the work he had been doing,
On the seventh day, God did no more of the work.
So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because
On the seventh day, God did no more of the work of creation.

[Genesis 2:1-3 -- the original, as in the Torah, and my somewhat poetic translation]
