Friday, 24 July 2015

I woke up in the night last night and was wide awake for a while. I don't know why, but, of course, I got up very late because of it. I did manage to walk down to recycle cardboard and buy challah for Shabbat before breakfast.

I taught 3 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-9:45 and 10:00-11:30.

I took Me'ir to lunch again at Café Rachel today. I tried their breakfast, which was a little more food than I really needed but was very delicious.

In the evening, I made Shabbat over at Me'ir's place.

I'll close today with my favorite verse from the entire Tanach (Hebrew Bible):

הגיד לך אדם מה-טוב ומה-יי דורש ממך כי אם-עשות משפא ואהבת חסד והצנע לכת עם-אלהיך

You have been told, humans, what is good. And what does the Eternal seek from you:
To make judgments, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with the Divine Presence.
[Micah 6:8, my free translation]
