I got up early enough this morning to walk to the gym and back, but I didn't work out there at all. A little later, but still before breakfast, I did my regular Friday walk to recycle the cardboard and buy challah.
I taught 6 units of Berlitz lessons today, my max for a Friday: 9:00-10:30, 10:30-12:00, and 12:00-1:30.
This morning (prompted by a report on Facebook from my friend, Liz) I looked out my window and saw SNOW on the mountains of Jordan just across the valley from us!
We ate our traditional Friday lunch at Il Pentolino today. We bundled up to go there, too, because it was cold out (okay, so it probably wasn't even under 10˚C = 50˚F, but it felt cold to us!).
Just before sundown, we lit candles, drank sweet red wine, and ate whole-wheat challah to welcome Shabbat.
I got some work done on my final project for my class, Introduction to Programming for Musicians and Digital Artists. It's turning out to be surprisingly difficult, especially since it's based on the same idea I used last week. Mostly, it's the fact that I'm trying to write in a minor key (instead of last week's major) that's creating complications.
