I had some trouble getting to sleep last night and so got up a little late this morning.
As I was getting ready to eat breakfast, my neighbor, Tony, said "Good morning!" and told me it was his birthday. He said he and some friends and family were going to celebrate down at the beach and invited me, as well. So, after breakfast and my morning routine, I walked on down there and joined them. I mostly just sat on a chaise in the shade and enjoyed chatting and people-watching. The temperature was very pleasant, and there was a good breeze.
Today's pic of the day shows the view of the city from where I was sitting:
I wore my Speedo under my shorts so that I could go into the sea if I wanted. At one point, I did go in, but turned around and came back out before the water even got up to my crotch. That was enough cooling for me this morning.
When some of Tony's friends said they were about to leave and asked if anyone wanted a ride, I decided to go. I really didn't want to walk all the way uphill in the sun in the middle of the day, and, of course, there's no bus service on Shabbat.
I had corn on the cob, carrots, and slices of cheese for lunch today since I didn't feel like doing any cooking. I spent the afternoon mostly watching sitcoms.
I walked a total of 3.4 kilometers today.
