Sunday, 7 May 2017

I slept well last night and got up a little late, but I still finished a light breakfast and the rest of my morning routine in time to get down to Maccabi for my weekly blood test.

After that, I visited the household odds-and-ends shops down the street and picked out some inexpensive hangers for my closet. This way, I'll be able to hang some of my tank tops instead of folding them so they should look a little better.

From there, I continued toward the Soleil Boutique Hotel, but I was early, so I stopped and rested along the way. I also took today's video of the day, my best one yet, I think, of a plane coming in for a landing:

Then I went to the hotel for this month's lovely WIZO brunch there. As usual, I ate WAY too much, but it was really good, and some of it was even healthy.

From there, I walked over to the Mul HaYam mall. I had received a gift card from Berlitz as a gift for the Spring holidays and had noticed that one of the chains that accepts it was Bug computer stores. I've been using flexible, roll-up computer keyboards for both my computers for some time now. They work pretty well and are quiet, but they have 2 annoying problems: it's too easy to miss the space bar, and it can be difficult to hit the shift keys correctly. So, I had decided that I'd use some of the gift card money to buy new, regular keyboards, and that's exactly what I did. I bought 2 identical, basic keyboards, using a little less than half the money on the card. I have them both set up now, and they are easier to type accurately on than the old ones, so I'm very satisfied.

My next stop was the pet store, to buy a mouse for Goldfinger. After that, it was quite hot and I was tired, so I took the bus back home.

After feeding Goldfinger, I still felt tired, so I took a nap for a good hour and a half (and was in bed for 2 hours). It was very refreshing!

In the evening, our play-reading group got started again. We began reading the play "Mr. Roberts" and had an enjoyable evening.

I walked a total of 5.9 kilometers today.
