I slept well last night. I got up and ate breakfast early so that I could get to my 8:30 appointment to pick up a 24-hour heart-monitoring halter from the Maccabi nurses. In fact, I left early enough that I actually walked a more circuitous route to get there. I took quite a few pictures of flowers along the way, including today's pic of the day, in which I also happened to get a fly sitting on a nearby pod:
After I got the halter, I started out on a different circuitous route home, taking more pictures. However, I had to abort that plan a little early because I was developing a small sore spot on my left foot from the flip-flop strap. So I just sat at a bus stop until the bus came and rode the rest of the way home. When I got home, I put alcohol on the sore, and it seems to already be much better. I'll probably also cover it with a bandaid before I go out walking again, just to keep it from getting irritated.
When I got home, I called and scheduled an appointment with the cardiologist for about a month from now (the earliest available) to review the results of the halter test.
I had a salad and beans and weenies for lunch today, which I had not had in months.
I was scheduled to teach 5 units of Berlitz lessons today, but one 1-unit lesson was a late cancellation (which I was informed about an hour before it was to have begun): 4:30-6:00, 6:00-6:45 (the cancellation), and 7:00-8:30.
I walked a total of 4.5 kilometers today.
