We both slept well last night, which is a good thing, as you will see shortly.
I got up early enough to walk over to the gym, go briefly on a couple of machine, and walk back, stopping for some stretches at my usual spot.
We started out morning routine a half-hour early today so that we could be out of the house and on our way by 8:30 (we actually made it by 8:25). We had filled the car with gas and bought two small bottles of PepsiMax last night.
And where were we going, you might ask. To the Israeli Guide Dog Center, the only accredited guide dog school for the blind in the entire Middle East!
We had told them that we'd be there by 1:00, and we were actually about 20 minutes early, I think. We received a wonderful guided tour of the facility and met several people who work there. It was great to see what they do and how very professionally they do it! David is now quite confident that he wants a guide dog and that he'll be able to get one.
So, even though it was a long trip, and David is now very tired, it was a great and worthwhile day.
