I had some trouble sleeping last night due to some difficulties that David was having. But I got a fair amount of sleep.
As soon as David finished the cup of herb tea that our hostess, Beth, had so graciously offered him after we got up this morning, we left their house in Nahariya and drove south to Rambam Medical Center, in Haifa. Unfortunately, we did NOT leave early enough to beat the rush hour traffic, so it was quite a long and slow journey.
When we finally did arrive at Rambam, we headed straight for the Aroma that is located there to have some breakfast. After that, we went over to see David's HIV doctor, Dr. Shafrir. We also talked some with Liora, the social worker there. Everyone in that department is always so wonderful. Even though there is an HIV clinic in Be'er Sheva, we will continue to travel to Haifa to benefit from the love and support of these wonderful people.
As soon as we left Rambam, we filled the car with gas and headed for home. After several stops for refreshments, lunch, and bathroom visits, we finally arrived home a little after 6:00 this evening, tired but happy to be back home. All 3 cats were obviously also very happy to see us.
