I got up early enough this morning to walk all the way to the gym and back. I didn't work out there on any of the machines, but I did stop on the way back to do stretches. I petted Fluffy and Mielo, but I didn't see any other cats.
I taught only 4 units of Berlitz lessons today, both 2-unit classes were the first of a short program of summer classes for WHO (World Health Organization) workers around the world. In the first class, from 12:00-1:30, were a woman doctor in Vietnam who works on HIV issues there, an IT guy in Cambodia, a travel scheduler in Burma, and a woman in New Delhi, India, who manages their bookshop there. What an interesting group! There were supposed to be 2 people in my evening class (7:00-8:30), but the one in Washington, DC, didn't show up, so there was only a woman in Brazil there.
We ate lunch again at Café Greg.
I watched another video lecture today for the Discrete Optimization class. I followed what the professor was saying, but one lecture was about all I could take at a time; it's pretty heavy stuff!
