I taught only 2 units of Berlitz today: 9:00-10:30.
After that, I had to go to the pharmacy to get our monthly supply of meds. It was complicated by the fact that the prescriptions I had had run out of their validity period, and the ones for next month had not yet ENTERED theirs. So I had to go to the doctor to get new ones. Our regular doctor wasn't in today, but the other doctor there did it for me without any problems. Surprisingly, there were very few people at the pharmacy when I got there, so I was able to do everything quite quickly in MUCH less time than I had feared.
We ate our traditional Friday lunch at Il Pentolino today. It was especially nice to go out to eat today, since we hadn't been able to for the previous two days.
I watched all the lectures for the next week of my class "Write Like Mozart" today (which just became available), so I'm way ahead of the game there. I do still have to do the exercise for the week, though, but it won't be very hard.
Just before sundown this evening, we lit candles, sipped some sweet red wine, and ate challah to welcome the Shabbat queen.
I continued tweaking my ChucK classical harmonization program today. In particular, I fixed a problem with handling diminished chords. I also finished putting in comments to describe what the program and its various subroutines do.
