I didn't get up very early this morning and so didn't get out for a walk.
Today was taken up by yet another trip to MaccabiDent at the Asuta Hospital in Tel Aviv. Next week there is no appointment, but the following week we go back up there again (for at least 2 more weeks in a row).
When I got into the underground parking garage, I parked farther from the elevators than I should have. I just grabbed the first empty spot I found on the lowest level, but there were others much closer. As a result, by the time we got upstairs David was tired and he needed to pee quite urgently even though we had stopped at the last rest area. After the restroom, he almost didn't make it to the cafe where we ate lunch. He also had trouble with the short walk to the dental office, and when he got there, he got so addled that he missed the chair and ended up sitting on the floor. Some guys rushed over to help, though, and we quickly got him up into the chair. Luckily, our dentist was running a little late, so David had time to relax a bit before we were called in.
After the appointment, David was having a lot of trouble walking again and had stopped near the elevators to lean on the wall. A very nice lady came by and asked if we needed help. I asked if we could get a wheelchair, and she set about finding one, but not until bringing a regular chair over for David to sit in. When she returned a bit later with the wheelchair, she took us to the main desk and asked them to get an orderly to take David down to the car in the wheelchair, which they did. Israel is so GREAT for genuinely helpful people!
We made it back home shortly after 7:00 p.m. and both felt very happy to be back!
