Shabbat, 23 January 2016

I was quite lazy today, but I did get a little bit done.

Late in the morning, I watched the BCC service from last night while running my first load of laundry here at my new place. It's now hanging on a rack in the hall just outside my apartment. It consists entirely of pants (slacks, jeans, and one pair of short pants). I'm sure it won't be try until at least morning, but that's okay.

I had cheese slices wrapped in tortillas and a big salad for lunch at home today.

After lunch, I went out for a walk. The breeze was cool, but the sun was warm, at least when it wasn't behind clouds. I was very comfortable in slacks and an untucked short-sleeve t-shirt. I walked quite leisurely and stopped 2 or 3 times to just sit and enjoy the lovely day.

In the early evening, I talked with Joyce, David's sister in Ohio.

Later in the evening, I looked through a few of my books and even read an entire children's book in Hebrew (little poems about animals and children -- quite nice).

I walked a total of 4.69 kilometers today.
