I got up quite early this morning but was generally slow getting going. Finally, I set out walking to the electric company to see if I could pay my last bill. It turns out that I still couldn't -- I think I'll just have to wait until I receive my bill.
From there I walked toward the industrial area because I wanted to find a smaller fan than the one I bought Friday, which is too strong, even on its slowest speed (but it was NOT a waste because it's likely to prove useful in the summertime). I couldn't find any fans at הום סנטר (if you're puzzling over that Hebrew, like I did when I first came here, I'll help you out -- it's actually NOT Hebrew but transliterated English), so proceeded to an electric appliances store nearby. They had 2 small ones. I went for the more expensive one, and I'm glad I did. Besides between quite good-looking (a traditional oscillating fan, all black), it's VERY quiet, an important factor because I use a fan a lot to keep me cool while teaching, and extra white noise is NOT helpful in hearing the students. Also, I think it will last significantly longer than the cheaper one would. It was easier carrying it home and also simpler putting it together than the one I bought on Friday, as well.
I had vegan weenies wrapped in whole-wheat tortillas and a tomato for lunch at home today.
In the late afternoon, I decided to take another walk. I went down to Mercaz Mor the most direct way but returned via the hospital, Canada Gardens, and the outdoor gym. I stopped several times during the walk and also worked out at the gym.
I walked a total of almost 11 and a half kilometers today.
