I was scheduled to teach 6 units of Berlitz lessons today, but the 2nd 2-unit lesson turned out to be a late cancellation: 9:00-10:30, 4:30-6:00, and 7:00-8:30.
Immediately after my first lesson, I walked down to Misrad HaPnim (the "Interior Office") to change my address on all official government records. The wait was fairly short, and the clerk who helped me was quite efficient.
Rather than walking directly home afterwards, I decided to walk over to the cemetery and visit David's grave. Then I walked back home a different way, stopping to buy peanut butter at a market where I had seen that they carry my favorite kind (which is NOT at most supermarkets). I was wearing short pants and a t-shirt and so felt a little cool since it was partly cloudy with quite a bit of wind. But, overall, I was quite comfortable.
I had lunch at home today.
When I found out that my 2nd lesson was canceled, I decided to take another walk, this one to the southern end of Harim Road (the extreme southwest corner of town). I wore long pants and a sweater for this walk (since it began just after sundown), but I had to take the sweater off on the way back because I was too hot.
I walked a total of 13.15 kilometers today.
