Shabbat, 9 January 2016

I got up fairly early this morning and went over to feed Moshe's cats and clean their litter box.

After breakfast, I tried to watch the BCC service from last night, but it got stuck partway through, and I finally gave up.

I had vegan shwarma and a tomato for lunch at home today. The shwarma really should be eaten with other things because it doesn't have much flavor by itself. I put some ketchup on it, and that helped, but next time I'll use it in combination with something else. This was the first time I had tried it.

In the afternoon, I went for a really nice walk up into the desert hills near here. I went to the top of one of them and got a fantastic panoramic view of Eilat, Aqaba, the Gulf, and even some mountains in Saudi Arabia. The hills themselves and the valleys and washes between them are also stunningly beautiful!

In the evening, I went over again to take care of Moshe's cats. I was particularly happy to see the white one, whom I had NOT seen this morning at all (but I HAD seen her last night, so I wasn't too worried).

On the way back, I stopped at one of the local markets and bought some cottage cheese and some yogurt.

I walked a total of over 12 kilometers today.
