Shabbat, 2 July 2016

I got to bed early last night, slept well, got up VERY early this morning (about 4:30), and went out for a 2-hour walk. It was WONDERFUL out, with a gentle cool breeze and very fresh air! I took several pictures, including today's pic of the day, the view across the Gulf to Aqaba's northern (older) port from the Sheshet HaYamim bridge over Nakhal Shakhamon:

I worked quite a bit on my orchestral variations on HaTikva today, and I think I've now got most of the notes. There still is plenty of work to do, though, on getting the expression and the balance right, and I may yet decide to change some of the notes or orchestration, as well. I feel very good about my progress!

I had 2 eggs mixed with rice, plus a tomato, for lunch at home today.

In the afternoon, I had a nice long chat with David's sister in Ohio. She got out of the hospital last Wednesday and is definitely feeling much better.

I walked a total of 6.04 kilometers today.
