I got up very early this morning and went for the full loop walk: down Argaman to Sheshet HaYamim, all the way to the end of Sheshet HaYamim, up the Nakhal Garuf tayelet, Harim Road all the way to Argaman, and down Argaman to home. Of course I took several photos, including today's pic of the day, a silhouette of buildings, cranes, and even a plane, just before the sun came up over the Jordanian mountains:
I also enjoyed 2 conversations during my walk, both along Harim Road. The first was in Hebrew with man I've never even seen before. He was walking out to catch his ride to work as I happened to walk by. We commented on the nice weather, and he asked if I was out for my morning walk. If was very brief but friendly. He was probably somewhere near my age. My other conversation was much longer, and it was with my friend, Liz, whom I've talked with many times. It was really nice to see her and have such a great chat! Thanks, Liz!
I got quite a bit done on my orchestral variations on HaTikva today. I'll still do some more adjusting of the sound levels, especially near the end, where I'm currently getting some distortion (too much happening too loudly all at once). I also need to put in some subtle tempo changes, again particularly at the end.
In addition, I took a little time to see what I've done so far and what I still need to do to make a complete album. I think there are just 2 more pieces that I want to do, both ones that I already did for organ.
I had thin vegan shnitzel, a large salad, and some cookies for lunch at home today.
I taught only one 2-unit Berlitz class today: 4:00-5:30. This class consisted of only 2 students. One is a Ukrainian who has previously actually lived in the U.S. and so has a VERY high level of English. The other is a woman from Angola who now lives and works in Rwanda. Both work for the WHO (World Health Organization).
I walked a total of 5.92 kilometers today.
