We got up a little late this morning and were reluctant to leave the lovely Safed Inn where we had spent the last three nights.

We did finally check out and get on our way, though. I took Hannah on a tour of a few of my favorite places in the northern Galil.

We had planned to eat lunch in the Druze town of Khurfeish, but the restaurant there was closed due to the Muslim/Druze holiday, so we drove over to Karmiel, where we had a very nice but inexpensive  lunch at a new restaurant there called Japanica.

Then, with some difficulty, we managed to find the place we had booked for tonight. It's in a small rural off-the-grid settlement named Klil, and it's a great place to stay.

After checking in, we drove to Nahariya for Kabbalat Shabbat at Emet V'Shalom, the Reform congregation that David and I were members of when we lived in Tsfat. It was great to see old friends.

Then we drove back up to Klil. The people here are very friendly. We met a couple of the other guests and their children and had a chance to chat and get acquainted.
