We had a really fabulous day today on our trip from Eilat to Tel Aviv.
Our first major stop was upper Ein Avdat. Besides the dramatic view of the sudden gorge, we also saw an ibex and several beautiful dragonflies.
Our next stop was not far away. We visited the graves of Ben Gurion and his wife at Sde Boker. The path from the parking lot is really lovely, and we saw many more ibexes.
After a little wandering around Tel Aviv, we located not only our hotel but also a parking garage not too far away. The hotel, Gordon Inn, is very nice, and our room even has its own little balcony overlooking Ben Yehuda Street.
After getting settled, we walked about half a block to a little Italian restaurant and had a very delicious meal. It was also fun to hear the staff speaking to each other in a mix of Hebrew and Italian. Of course, they could also speak excellent English.
I walked a total of 4.5 kilometers today.
