I got up this morning feeling a little tired.
I had my General Performance Review for Berlitz this morning. They are planning to do this annually, but this is the first time I've had one. I was actually dreading it, but it went okay, better than I thought it would.
I taught 7 units of Berlitz lessons today: 11:00-12:30, 1:45-2:30, 4:15-5:45, and 7:30-9:00. We went to Il Pentolino for lunch between 2:30 and 4:00. Our friends, Moshe and Bob, happened to also be eating there. I didn't see them, but they noticed us. We all finished about the same time, so we gave them a ride home.
I got good news when I called the eye doctor's office today. They told me that David will receive his תעודת עיוור (certificate of blindness) almost immediately and without even needing to come in for an eye exam. However, if he does come in, there's a possibility of also receiving some additional money each month, so naturally I scheduled an appointment. I was very pleasantly surprised that they will be able to see him next Sunday at 3:00, so we can simply go there (the clinic is in Tel Aviv) on our way back from Haifa!
We had another good conversation this evening with David's sister and her husband in Ohio. We were supposed to call them yesterday but had forgotten until it was too late.
