I actually woke up VERY early this morning and couldn't sleep any more. But I stayed in bed until about 5:15, and then I got up and walked to the gym and back. At the beginning of my walk, there was a lovely breeze, but then it died down, only to return sporadically, and so for much of the time it felt a bit warm and perhaps even humid (that's a relative term here in dry, dry Eilat, of course!). Later, I walked down to recycle cardboard and buy challah at the local bakery for Shabbat.
I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-10:30 and 11:30-1:00.
David was too sleepy to get up to go out for lunch, so I ordered pizza, and we ate it at home. We only ate half of the large one (פיצה משפחתית pitza mishpakhtit "family pizza") that I ordered, though, so we'll probably have the rest for lunch tomorrow.
This afternoon, I assessed the unit 1 assignments of 5 of my peers in Algorithmic Thinking, as required. Tomorrow I'll do the homework and the project and, hopefully, the application, as well, for unit 2.
As the sun was disappearing behind the Eilat mountains to the west, we lit candles, drank wine, and ate challah to welcome the Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom to everyone! שבת שלום לכולם
