I'm not sure now what happened last night. I know that I got the Arcoxia pill out and put it with the other 3 pills that I take at bedtime. I THOUGHT that I took them all, but it seemed to have no effect. By the middle of the night, I was having quite a bit of pain, and it sure seemed like I had NOT taken the pill. I searched the kitchen floor for it but didn't find it. Of course, it's very small, so it still could be there somewhere. Anyway, I didn't think it would be wise to take another one, just in case I really HAD taken it. I was also afraid to take ibuprofen. The pharmacist had actually made me sign a piece of paper saying I wouldn't take them together, and one site I found on the internet even claimed that the combination could be lethal (pretty small probability, I'm sure)! Finally, 7 hours after I think I took the Arcoxia, I did take ibuprofen. By then, though, I had lost quite a bit of sleep, of course, and so I felt quite sleepy and tired all day. The ibuprofen did help some with the pain but not as much as I would have liked.
I enjoyed the English speakers' meeting at WIZO this morning. We had honey cake, apples and honey, and wine to toast Rosh HaShana (the Jewish new year, which begins tomorrow night at sundown).
David and I had lunch today at Buddha Burgers. We had a couple of their burgers that we had not previously tried, and they were good.
When we came home, both of us were very tired and sleepy. David went to bed first, and I soon joined him. I slept for a little over 2 hours. I virtually NEVER take naps because I generally feel so yucky when I get up, and this was really no exception. Nevertheless, I really did need the sleep, and I finally began to feel better after being up for a while.
I will make VERY SURE that I actually take the Arcoxia tonight, and I hope it will work much better. Today was mostly a lost day due to last night's failure (whatever it really was!). Luckily, I had decided weeks ago to take vacation time from Berlitz today and tomorrow.
