Shabbat, 19 December 2015

I got up fairly early this morning but didn't immediately go out for a walk. Instead, I began by watching last night's BCC (Beth Chayim Chadashim) services.

After that, I got a fairly leisurely start to my day, including my morning sitz bath (which I followed this time by a regular shower, as well). Then I walked over again to Moshe's place to feed his cats (and pet them a bit, too). He has a beautiful peaches-and-cream male cat, a calico who is mostly white, and another female who is completely white. They all have nice personalities, too.

I ate 2 cheese and tomato sandwiches for lunch at home today.

I spent much of the rest of the day sorting and packing things. Now, one large cabinet in my office is empty, the smaller tall one is also empty, and the other large one is almost empty, so I'm making good progress. A significant part of what I packed today is family pictures and other treasures, some quite old. Mostly, they were already in boxes, and I didn't sort that much more. I did throw away a few things and do a bit of consolidation, though.

While I was working, I also had my Macs working, too, copying some files from the older one to the newer one. I've been using the older one as my main computer, but I'm planning to switch to the newer one (which was originally David's) when I move. In fact, I've already mostly switched to it. The difference will be that, in the new place, it will trade places with the old one and be in the middle, right in front of me. My PC, which I use only for teaching, will remain on my left.

I walked only 3.83 kilometers today.
