Shabbat, 26 December 2015

I slept fairly well last night and woke up reasonably early but didn't go out for a walk until later.

After breakfast, I watched the BCC service from last night and really enjoyed it, especially the L'cha Dodi and Rabbi Lisa's drasha (sermon). The familiar story of Joseph in the book of Genesis has a special resonance for me this year.

Before lunch, I took a long walk past the hospital and over to a neighborhood known as Izidor and then back home again.

I worked more on packing today, of course. Now, almost everyone in the kitchen is packed except the last-minute things, and the bathroom is also almost all packed except for last-minute items.

In the early evening I enjoyed a nice chat with Joyce, David's sister in Ohio, over Skype.

I walked a total of about 7 kilometers today.
