I got up fairly early but didn't go out for a morning walk except to buy challah. It was cold! I actually wished that I had worn a sweater. I did get a nice picture of the sun about to rise, though, from right in front of my gate on my way back. It's today's pic of the day:

I taught 3 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-9:45 and 11:30-1:00.

I got all the weekly household chores done in the morning.

I had a salad, a slice of cheese (9% fat), and a doughnut for lunch.

In the afternoon, I took a long leisurely walk around the big loop, somewhat extended.

As the light was about to fade from our beautiful valley, I lit candles, drank a little sweet red wine, and ate some challah to welcome Shabbat.

Later in the evening, David called me from Tel Aviv, and we enjoyed a nice long chat.

I walked a total of 7.5 kilometers today.
