I got up fairly early this morning and had time to relax a little before breakfast. I did my second injection of Clexane this morning (the first was yesterday). I have to do this for the 4 days before my surgery instead of taking the Coumadin pills. These are both blood-thinners, but the pills take longer to work than the injections, so they want closer control right before the surgery, I assume.
I taught 3 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-9:45 and 10:30-12:00. Between classes, I walked up to the bakery and bought challah for Shabbat and some nice cookies, as well. After finishing teaching, I did the weekly dusting and sweeping.
I had a salad, quesadillas, and a few cookies for lunch.
In the afternoon, I just relaxed. Then I lit candles, drank a little sweet red wine, and ate a bit of challah to welcome Shabbat.
In the evening, Bassia & David graciously invited me over to their place for a lovely meal, which I very much enjoyed, not to mention the good company. I took today's pic of the day just before going into their building:
I walked a total of 3.3 kilometers today.
