I got up early this morning and ate breakfast quite early, too. Then I set out walking into town. First stop was Maccabi, for my weekly blood draw.
After that, I walked down to the SuperPharm to buy "Depends", which I may need after the surgery for a while. I then stopped by the pet store, hoping to get a mouse for Goldfinger, but they didn't have any.
From there I decided to take a long, leisurely walk home, since it was such a nice day. I browsed a bit at the small household goods stores on HaTmarim and, in fact, bought a tote bag (7 shekels). I used to have 2 Shufersal tote bags that I used for groceries, but the handle finally broke on one of them, so I was down to just one. I thought I'd better have a spare (I only use one per shopping trip now, since the markets are close, so I can visit more often very easily).
I walked out all the way to the end of HaTmarim and then up the ring road and over to the Shufersal on Yerushalayim HaShlemah Street, where I picked up several items. From there, I walked home mostly on Harim Road (on down Argaman, of course). I took several pictures along my walk, including today's pic of the day, a shot of the sun behind a small cloud:
I had a salad and shnitzel for lunch and rested during the rest of the afternoon. In the evening, I walked down to Fay's house for our weekly play-reading group.
I walked a total of 8.6 kilometers today.
