I slept decently last night but not perfectly. I got up quite early, though, giving me plenty of time to shower before walking down for my weekly blood test.
After the blood test, I had an hour before the WIZO breakfast, so I decided to walk over to the Breishit health food store. They didn't have the carob-peanut spread I was hoping to find (they're often out of it, in my experience), so I bought myself a package of Macadamia nuts as a sort of consolation prize. Then I walked over to the Soleil Boutique Hotel for the breakfast, arriving almost exactly at the appointed time.
I really enjoyed the breakfast this month and got my money's worth, for sure. The company was also excellent, as always.
Afterwards, I walked up to the pet store. Unfortunately, they still didn't have any mice, but I also needed to buy more cat food for Pascal, which they did have. They also still have 2 corn snakes. One is a caramel, I think, and the other is definitely a snow. It's a good thing I don't have any money, because, if I did, I'd probably buy them both! Today's pic of the day is of the snow:
I wandered home quite slowly, stopping several times to rest. Between the extra food in my belly and the bag of cat food (not to mention the Macadamia nuts), the walk uphill just seemed a little more difficult. I'm glad, though, that I just took my time and did NOT break down and take a bus.
I relaxed basically all afternoon, even napping a bit in my chair.
In the evening, I walked down to Fay's house for our play-reading group. We finished reading "Lady Windermere's Fan" (by Oscar Wilde) and also read "Something Unspoken" (by Tennessee Williams), and it was enjoyable, as always.
I walked a total of 11.1 kilometers today.
