I slept pretty well last night and got up about 4:15 this morning. I was on my way to the airport at 4:34, arriving there a few minutes after 5:00.

After checking in, I ate breakfast at the airport. The flight went very nicely, and I took a bunch of pictures, as usual. One of them, a view of Tel Aviv at dawn, is today's pic of the day:

It took me about 50 minutes to walk from the airport to the hospital, where I arrived before 8:00. I found the urology unit and eventually got checked in. Both the nurse, whom I talked with in Hebrew, and the doctor, whom I spoke with in English, were excellent, thorough, informative, helpful, and friendly. Both lunch and supper were vegetarian and delicious. So I'm off to a fantastic start. I fast after midnight and am scheduled to go down for surgery tomorrow morning at about 8:30.

I walked a total of 6.8 kilometers today.
