Friday, 11 March 2016

Having gotten to bed quite late last night, I was not surprised that I woke up and got up quite late this morning. But I was well-rested and ready for the day. Before breakfast, I took my usual short walk up to the bakery to buy challah for Shabbat.

I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today (both students were ones I had never taught before): 9:00-10:30 and 10:30-12:00.

I had a large salad for lunch at home today. After that, I walked over to the appointment with my psychiatrist. Luckily, he had called me a little earlier to let me know that the Shakhamon Maccabi office has moved. I had previously seen that a Maccabi office was planned there, but I didn't know whether it was to be a totally new one or just the new location for the old one. Apparently, it's the latter, and now they have moved there. Unfortunately, it's a longer walk from my new place (my old place is about half-way between the 2 locations, but perhaps a little closer to the new one). Anyway, I managed to walk over there and arrive on time, and the appointment went very well. He gave me some important advice which I intend to follow.

Although I spread it out a bit, I managed to complete my weekly cleaning chores satisfactorily, so the new habit is getting more and more established.

As the sun was shining its last for the day on our beautiful valley, I lit candles, drank of bit of sweet red wine, and ate a little challah to welcome another Shabbat of peace and rest.

I walked a total of 5.64 kilometers today, most of that being the walk to my appointment and back.

In honor of the beginning of the month of Adar II, I leave you with this:
מי שנכנס אדר מרבים בשמחה
Whoever enters Adar increases in happiness
