I got up quite early this morning and ate breakfast early, too. This gave me time to get a good start on my fugue even before my first lesson.
I was scheduled to teach 10 units of Berlitz lessons today, but one student, to no one's surprise, turned out to be a no-show (out of something like 10 lessons, this student has only attended one): 9:00-10:30, 11:00-12:30, 3:00-4:30, 5:00-6:30 (the no-show), and 7:00-8:30.
I had a salad with added nuts and a baked yam for lunch. A little later, I also ate a couple of cookies and a few more nuts.
I finished my Fugue of the Day just before my first afternoon lesson. Its subject is the familiar "Shave and a haircut, two bits", and it also includes the song "Turkey in the Straw". You can listen to the result here.
After the no-show, I just relaxed a bit before my evening lesson.
