I got up fairly early this morning and went out for a long walk. It was great out! I took today's pic of the day not long after the sun had come up over the Jordanian mountains, while the shadows of the tall buildings were still very long on the desert hills:

I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today, back to back: 10:00-11:30 and 11:30-1:00.

I managed to get the weekly household tasks done this afternoon, and I also watched more video lectures from my online class in regression. I still have to do the programming work and the 2nd quiz based on it.

In the evening, I lit candles, drank some sweet red wine, and ate a little challah to welcome this Shabbat.

Afterwards, I went out for a medium-length walk. I felt quite tired, though, because it was still rather warm despite the nice breeze.

I walked a total of 4.34 kilometers today.

In honor of this week's national holidays, I leave you with the words of HaTikvah, our national anthem:
