Friday, 27 May 2016

I got up a little late this morning, feeling stiff. I didn't go out for a walk, but I did go up and buy challah (and some cookies) for Shabbat, and I also went out and fed my friend's cats.

I was scheduled to teach 5 units of Berlitz lessons today, but the first class (1 unit) was a no-show, which the students had told me at the last lesson that they would cancel, but apparently they forgot: 9:00-9:45, 9:45-11:15, and 11:30-1:00.

I had a salad with added tomato and chopped up vegetarian "breasts" with sweet chili sauce as dressing for lunch at home today.

In the afternoon, I watched more videos from week 4 of my online regression class and passed the first quiz.

In the late afternoon, I went out for a walk, ending up at my friend's place to feed her cats for the evening. Today's pic of the day is of 2 of her very cute kittens:

As the light was about to fade from our beautiful valley, bringing another day to a close, I lit candles, drank some sweet red wine, and ate a little challah to welcome the arriving Shabbat.

I walked a total of 5.78 kilometers today.

I leave you today with this verse from the 2nd chapter of Breishit (Genesis 2:17):
ויצו יי אלהים על-האדם לאמר מכל אץ-הגן אכל תאכל: ומאץ הדעת טוב ורע לא תאכל ממנו
And the Eternal God commanded the human, saying, "From every tree of the garden you may certainly eat, but from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you must not eat from it."
