Monday, 8 February 2016

I slept both well and long last night and got up quite late this morning.

I taught 6 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:30-11:00, 11:00-12:30, and 5:30-7:00.

In the hour between my first 2 lessons, I walked up to the outdoor gym and worked out a bit, walked a little more to the park, and relaxed a bit there, enjoying the beautiful day.

I had tomato and cheese sandwiches for lunch at home today.

After lunch, I took a long walk. First, I walked all the way down Argaman. Then I headed south on the road down the coast, stopping at the small beach just south of the navy base, and going as far as the port. I had planned to walk up from the port past where the new cars are parked awaiting delivery to the rest of the country, but my way was blocked by concertina wire that I couldn't get around, so I had to walk back northward on the coast road. I managed, however, to find the trail up Nakhal Shakhamon, and so I walked up that until Khativat HaNegev Road. From there, I walked up Haggai Street to Sheshet HaYamim Road and then home through the lower parts of Mitzpe Yam. It was a great walk on an absolutely perfect day!

I walked a total of a little over 11 kilometers today.
