I slept a little weirdly and woke up late but feeling very rested.
I didn't eat breakfast at all this morning but instead waited until 11:00 and had brunch at Rachel Café with my friend, Moshe, who's moving to Netanya this week. I'll really miss him!
In the afternoon, I prepared for my lessons tomorrow (six 2-unit lessons!), did some work on the course I'm taking (Algorithms, Biology, and Programming for Beginners), and then went out for a fairly long, leisurely walk around town as the shadows were starting to lengthen.
At one point during my walk, I sat down on a bench on Yahel Street. After a bit, an old man came along with a smile and shook my hand. Then he sat down on the bench beside me. I soon found out that he spoke neither Hebrew nor English. Nevertheless, I managed to also learn that he knew the first few numbers in Hebrew and that he spoke Russian, Ukrainian, and Yiddish, and he understood that I spoke English (and Hebrew). Unfortunately, we had no common language in which to communicate, but he seemed like a nice guy. After a few minutes, he got up and left.
In the evening, I worked a bit more on the course.
I walked a total of 8.4 kilometers today.
