Sunday, 7 February 2016

I slept well last night but woke up VERY early and couldn't really get back to sleep. I didn't let myself actually get up out of bed, though, until 5:00.

I attended the Berlitz "brown bag" virtual meeting this morning. Our leader, Betsy, holds one of these each month, usually on the first Sunday. They can't require us to attend since they don't pay us for it, so I usually skip it, but I decided maybe I should attend this morning.

After that, I walked into town on several errands. First stop was the pharmacy to get prescriptions filled, both my regular monthly ones and the special ones for antibiotics and an enema related to my upcoming exam.

Next stop was the bus station to get a "Kav Rav" card. It's free, and I thought it would get me a discount on the buses, but when I got home and read more about it later on, I found out that I'm not yet old enough. The age for senior discounts for WOMEN is 60, but for men it's 65, alas.

The final stop was at the bank ATM to withdraw money to pay my rent. Then I walked very leisurely back home, making a brief stop at the market on Sheshet HaYamim to replenish my supply of cashews.

I had a big salad, with greens and a yellow bell pepper, and 2 cheese veggie burger sandwiches for lunch at home today.

In the afternoon, I went out for a brief walk, including a short time at the outdoor gym, but it was overcast and a little cool, and I just didn't feel like going for another extended walk.

I walked a total of 7.1 kilometers today.
