I slept well last night and got up early this morning.
I taught only 6 units of Berlitz lessons today: 9:00-10:30, 3:00-4:30, and 6:00-7:30.
After my first lesson, I went with my former landlord to close out the "arnona" (city tax that is generally paid by residents rather than owners of apartments) and the gas bill. They had been deducting the arnona from my account, but only the discounted amount that we got because of David's disability (he got a 90% discount on it), so I needed to pay the difference for the time since he died. The gas bill was a trivial amount that I could easily pay in cash.
I had to arrange to make payments for the arnona I owe and also for the final electric bill. In both cases, I was able to split it out over 18 months, but that means I'll be paying a combined amount of about 150 shekels every month out of my already-very-tight budget, which worries me a little.
More worrisome, though, is the fact that I have to pay my former landlord for damages to the apartment (mostly done by the cats). He decided to postpone talking about that until next month, but I already know it's going to be around 6,000 shekels, and I have NO idea how I'll manage that.
I had a big salad with a tomato and sunflower seeds, plus some cheese, for lunch today at home.
Between my 2nd and 3rd lessons, I walked up to the gym and worked out a little and then took a long walk before returning home.
I walked a total of 6.79 kilometers today.
