I slept well last night and got up very early this morning. Then I went for a long walk: over to Shakhamon, down through the middle of it, back across on Khativat HaNegev, and back up home, mostly on Argaman. It was great!
A good friend here whom I've known for several years came over this morning, and we enjoyed a lovely time together. Afterwards, I walked down into town with him and then did a little shopping over on HaTmarim. The only thing I bought was a small frying pan. I had kept only my huge one, thinking that, if I only had one frying pan, it should be the largest one. However, I found that, when cooking eggs for just one person, the big one really isn't very suitable. After that purchase, I walked home by a somewhat circuitous route, including a short stop at Mercaz Mor.
I managed to finish my Algorithms, Biology, and Programming for Beginners class today. Well, actually, I gave up on the last 2 programming challenges, but I'll do just fine in the class anyway.
I had 3 fried eggs (using my new pan!) and a large salad with greens, red bell pepper, seeds, and walnuts, dressed with 1000 island dressing, for lunch today at home.
I had my annual General Performance Review for Berlitz today. I got rated a little lower than last year because I got quite a few less "excellent" ratings from students. As usual, I had to listen to a rather long lecture about how I talk too much and don't get the students to talk enough. It's mostly true, of course, but I still don't enjoy hearing about it over and over. I'm trying to change, but it's just a bit against my talkative nature. LOL
In the early evening, I walked to the closest market and did some fairly serious grocery shopping.
A little later in the evening, I walked up to the outdoor gym and worked out a fair amount. The weather was absolutely perfect. Afterwards, I walked down into Canada Gardens and hung out there a bit, as well. On the way back, I stopped at the other grocery store and bought a couple more items.
I walked a total of 13.31 kilometers today, more than I have in one day in quite some time now.
