I had trouble getting to sleep last night but eventually slept well. I got up VERY early and was on my way down to the airport shortly after 5:00 a.m.

After checking in for my flight, I had a large cheese burekas and a bottle of PepsiMax for breakfast.

I took lots of pictures today, during the flight up, while walking around in Tel Aviv, and during the flight back. Today's pic of the day shows one of the most stunning flower shots:

The appointment with Dr. Keren-Paz (my surgeon) was quite uneventful, since I already knew that my PSA was nearly down to zero (0.04). But he seemed as happy as I was at the news. He told me to come back to see him in 3 months with another PSA result, just to check, so I have already scheduled it.

After leaving there, I walked to several places. First, I went over to the adjacent mall, where I had a frozen yogurt. Then I headed over to the Yitzkhak Rabin Plaza (next to Tel Aviv City Hall), where I sat in a chaise and soaked up the sun for a while. From there, I walked over to Gan Me'ir, where I walked around, took more pictures, and soaked up more sun until David's meeting at the gay center there was over. He and I and several of his friends then walked north, talking about many things, both in English and in Hebrew. Eventually, David and I and a new friend of his ended up eating lunch at a small, home-style restaurant in Diezengof Centre, a large shopping mall on BOTH sides of Diezengof Street.

After lunch, the 2 of them walked with me as far as the bridge, and then they turned around and went back to David's house while I continued walking to the airport. By the time I finished going through security, getting my boarding pass, and going to the bathroom, the flight was already boarding.

I took plenty more pictures on the way back, including of Netanya, Tulkarm, Jericho, and several kibbutzim in the Arava.

When I arrived back in Eilat, I walked up as far as the Central Bus Station, and then waited at the bus stop near there for a bus home (I ended up on number 6).

I walked a total of 14 kilometers today.
