Wednesday, 1 March 2017

I got a good night's sleep last night and woke up refreshed to the sound of rain and hail falling outside, and even an occasional rumble of thunder. Quite the storm! I stayed dry and warm inside.

I checked outside later in the morning, and it seemed pretty well dried out but still cloudy, so I decided not to go out for a walk until later. Instead, I relaxed, watching sitcoms and YouTube videos and playing games.

I baked a yam for lunch and also had 2 shnitzels and a salad.

After lunch I did go out walking for about 45 minutes. The drain for Harim Road at Nakhal Shakhamon was apparently clogged, because there was a big puddle in the road where the water should have gone down. Even the sidewalk was completely flooded, so I had to cross the road and bypass the flooding by walking on the other side of the road. The water in the nakhal itself, however, was all dried out or soaked into the ground. Today's pic of the day shows a vehicle splashing through the puddle:

I finally got back to work today and taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons, back-to-back: 5:30-7:00 and 7:00-8:30.

I walked a total of 2.6 kilometers today.
