I slept well last night and got up late this morning. At first, I was a little tired and stiff even after getting up, but I quickly got back to normal.
I walked over to and enjoyed today's English speakers' meeting very much.
Afterwards, I walked over to the Pelephone office (my cell phone provider) to see if I could lower my monthly payments. In the end, I was able to get somewhat better service and some free products and, somehow, thereby REDUCE the amount I'll have to pay monthly (and the reductions continue in the future, as well). I'm not sure how they do this, but apparently that's just how it works. In fact, I actually got it lowered in 3 steps by persisting in asking about possibilities. Maybe I could have done better, but it seemed like the best deal I could get in the end, and, unless they were outright lying to me, I'll be paying about 100 shekels less each month.
I also walked back home from there (quite a long ways) and ate lunch quite late at home (a quesadilla, weenies in a tortilla, a tomato, a cucumber, and some halva). I took today's pic of the day during my walk:
I wrote one quick e-mail for David (on the billionaire project) today. He's looking for someone to replace me who can work the hours he needs, but he has not yet succeeded, so I'll continue to support him as I have time (and I'm sure I'll get something for it, probably a pretty good amount, in fact), and he'll continue to search for a native English speaker who can work the hours he really needs. I feel much better about this arrangement, since I will avoid damaging my relationship with Berlitz this way, which is important.
I taught 4 units of Berlitz lessons today, back-to-back: 5:30-7:00 and 7:00-8:30.
I walked a total of 6 kilometers today.
